privacy, in plain words
Here's everything we know about you. It's a short list.
Kova is built to work without knowing who you are. Here is the complete list of what we keep, what we don't, and who else sees what.
What we never ask for
- Namenever
- Email addressnever
- Phone numbernever
- Passport or IDnever
- Selfie or video checknever
- Home or billing addressnever
- Date of birthnever
- Card detailsnever
No KYC at any point: not to buy, not to top up, not to renew a number.
What we keep, and why
Your wallet address
It is your account: you sign in with it and your eSIMs are attached to it.
Your orders and their transaction hashes
To deliver what you paid for, show your history and keep the accounts every business must keep.
Your eSIMs' install details and data balance
So you can reinstall, top up and see what's left.
One session cookie
To keep you signed in for 30 days. Disconnecting deletes it.
What we don't keep
- Your IP address, in our database
- Your browsing or what you do with your data
- Your location
- Analytics, heatmaps, ad pixels or third-party cookies
Who else sees what
Cloudflare
Our site is served through Cloudflare, which shields it from attacks. Like any network in the path, it sees your IP address and the pages you load.
The blockchain
Your payment, from your wallet to ours. Public by design, but not linked to your name.
Mobile networks
Like any mobile line, they carry your traffic and see technical metadata. They don't get your identity from us.
Your wallet app
The sign-in message and the payment you approve. Check its own privacy policy.
Security
- No passwords: you sign in by signing a one-time message with your wallet (Sign-In with Ethereum).
- No custody: payments go straight from your wallet and are verified on-chain. We never hold your keys.
- Your account only shows your own eSIMs and orders, and the install QR code is never shared by email.
Privacy tips for travellers
- Pay from a wallet you only use for eSIMs, funded without KYC where you can.
- Use a VPN or Tor on top of the eSIM if you want your traffic hidden from networks.
- Use the US number for sign-ups instead of your personal number.
- Write to support from a throwaway address: your order number is enough.
